Q. Can solid timber be sanded more times than engineered timber?

A. This is quite a common question we are asked.

Solid timber can be re-sanded just as many as engineered timber or more times, depending on the thickness of the boards, and it is up to where the tongue & groove are.

Usually, 1 - 2 mm thickness will be taken off per sanding.

Please also remember that sanding and varnishing are not required every year.

Sanding and varnishing are ways of renewing the surface of the floorboards.

It often brings the result of a brand-new look.
